JOIN OUR FIGHT
The STOP Cuerdale Garden Village Action Group (AG) has been formed with the ultimate goal of preventing the Cuerdale Garden Village from being approved.

The AG is made up entirely of volunteers who came together after the first public meeting in February 2022, with the common goal to STOP Story Homes. The groups members are part of the local community and includes individuals from all walks of life, such as agricultural, as well as commerce and representatives of Samlesbury and Cuerdale Parish Council. The Parish Council provides access to resources and administrative bodies that are invaluable in this fight.

The aim of the AG is to protect 400 acres of South Ribble Green Belt in Samlesbury and Cuerdale from being lost forever to the unnecessary, inappropriate development of 1,300 houses as proposed in Phase 1. Phase 2 would be an additional 1,400 houses over a similar size of Green Belt!

Additionally, we are looking to protect the character of the local surroundings – its landscape, community, farming and historical assets including wildlife and biodiversity.

We have one thing that unites us all - we have an absolute passion to prevent Cuerdale Garden Village from being built.
